Stopped by Hop and Vine for a bite to eat, and to sample a few beers I am afraid to open at home.  The Sierra Nevada Ovila collaboration is nice and smooth and should cellar EXCEPTIONALLY well.  The DFH Chateau Jiahu is nice and crisp, nicely described as a drinkable Midas Touch by the bar tender… likely due to the use of the saki yeast.

I opted for the house pickle plate, Lynn went for the pork cheeks and hominy.  Nice stop, but a bit loud, even accounting for it being a Saturday night.

Verdict:

Ovila – 4

Jiahu – 4

Heater Allen Coastal Commons – 3

Pickles – 5

Cheeks – 5
